Guests Crowd Vanilla Sky For the Latest in Contemporary Women’s WearLocal Merchants Show off the Best of Kings Highway
Last Tuesday evening (Nov. 8), the local retailers of Kings Highway (between East 2nd and East 3rd Streets) rolled out the red carpet welcome to our valued customers to what became a successful ‘KINGS HIGHWAY  NIGHT OUT.’ For weeks, eleven top-of-the-line shops worked in unison to create a night that has never existed before, and an event not to be missed.
How can we show our loyal customers how much we value and appreciate their support? …. Let’s give them the BEST of our products at discounted (never-before-heard-of) prices!  Let’s shower them with gifts, food, ambience, and a ‘feel good’ night.
From 6pm-10pm, our pedestrians were serenaded by the most soothing melodies from our professional saxophone player.   They were drawn to the Avenue by fluorescent lighting produced and arranged by DJ Ricky Esses.
Though it may have been Tuesday night, at Kings Highway Glatt Butcher, it’s never too soon to think about your Shabbat meal (especially at 20 percent off). We had some ladies come in who were having sebbets and couldn’t resist the beneficial promotion. Now that they purchased their meats, our guests then strolled into Sol’s Houseware/ Hardware for their promotions on roasters and Pyrexes. The whole store was on sale - wow!
So we have the meats, the pots, now for the ‘table.’ What? Pedestrian traffic had to take a second glance as they thought they were in New York City.  Table and Top… featured brand-new high quality dining room tables and coffee tables at 20 percent off!  Many quickly phoned their designers to come look at the fabulous marbles and stones posted up like jewelry/ fine art.   Speaking of art, ‘Eddie Cohen’ art was displayed and our wise customers took advantage of these one-of-a-kind portraits.
The warm, comfortable weather (Baruch Hashem) put us all in the mood to purchase designer eye wear from Bright Eyes, and gear up for cruise wear.   The Showroom and California Sunshine provided the latest styles, trunk shows, all ready and waiting. Vanilla Sky (if you could have made your way through the crowd) was selling the popular denims and contemporary ladies wear all for 20-50 percent off. Many ladies commented that it was more convenient to shop for their little ones after-hours than during their busy days.
With the High Holy Days over, it’s time to celebrate all the weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.   Our soon-to-be-brides and their invited guests took advantage of the exquisite gowns and dresses by Marion’s. Real, live models strolled up and down the red carpet modeling gowns, hairpieces, and unique accessories (we were amazed by the fabulous hand bag giveaways).  Brides also spent time at Lavender Lace, where they slid into the most comfortable lounge wear and treated like royalty. It was also a good time for us to catch up on all our birthday gifts.  Norma’s Kids Biz displayed the cutest toys and even fine jewelry.   We not only thought of birthdays, but even started our Hanukah shopping as well.  At ten percent off and free delivery, how could we go wrong?
Just when we thought we had seen it all, our guests were literally welcomed by Addy and Co. for a sebbet-style dinner. Their elegant store sparkled with the finest of crystals and the most luxurious dinnerware we have ever seen. Platters and the finest home décor were at 20 percent off!
A very special and heartfelt thanks to the team at Table and Top…, Hope, Jackie Tobias, and Molly Yedid, for coordinating this event.
All in all – the streets were saturated with happy customers and retailers. As the saying goes, ‘ you get what you give’ We, Kings Glatt, Norma’s Kids Biz, Sol’s Hardware, Addy and Co., California Sunshine, Vanilla Sky, Bright Eyes, Lavender Lace, Paula Dweck Jewelry, Table and Top…, and Marion’s, love and value our customers. We were delighted to give back and thank all of you for attending ‘Kings Highway Night Out.’ We hope to see you at our next event in the spring!
