The waterfront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is about to get yet another high-rise building.

On Wednesday, September 27, Halcyon Management filed plans with the Department of Buildings to construct a residential building in Greenpoint area of Brooklyn at 37 West Street. The building will be 90,734-square-feet spread across 14 floors. 87,434 square feet will be used for 92 residential apartments, which will be around 950-square-feet each, with high ceilings. The other 3,300 square feet will be set aside for a community facility.

Currently there is a warehouse with the address 27 West Street, occupying the site at which the building is planned to be constructed. In 2015, plans were filed by Halcyon Management to build a 19-story building with 234 residential units on this lot.

Yoel Sabel has been with Halcyon Management Group for almost a decade, and is co-developer and a senior project manager, his partner Lipa Friedman is listed as the developer for the 37 West Street project.

Another tower is also about to be constructed in the same area at 21 India Street. This project is being called the Greenpoint and will soar to 40 stories.
