After eight days of intense talks, negotiators from the United States, Iran and the European Union reached an agreement on a preliminary nuclear deal two days past the original March 31 deadline. Secretary of State John Kerry posted on Twitter earlier today that negotiators “now have parameters to resolve major issues on nuclear program,” and that both sides will now turn to the drafting of the deal.

This agreement remains just a precursor to a final deal that must be agreed upon by June 30.
